Ten Commandments Of Emotional Literacy...

1. Thou shalt not power play. Ask instead for what you want until you get it.
2. Thou shalt not allow yourself to be power played. Don’t do anything you are not willing to do of your own free will.
3. Thou shalt not lie by omission or commission. Except where your safety or the safety of others is concerned, avoid lying.
4. Thou shalt stand up for how you feel and what you want. If you don’t, it is not likely that anyone else will.
5. thou shalt respect the feeling or wishes of others. That does not mean you have to submit to them.
6. Thou shalt look for the validity in the ideas of others. There is more than one way to lokk at things.
7. Thou shalt apologize and make amends for your mistakes. Nothing will allow you to grow faster.
8. Thou shalt want to forgive others for their mistakes. Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.
9. Thou shalt not accept false apologies. They are worth less than no apologies at all.
10. Thou shalt follow these commandments according to your best judgment. After all, they are not written in stone.
